Promise Run 2026
This year has been a rough one so far for my fitness journey. For the first time we were shut out of registering for Wine and Dine killing our perfect 10K streak and than a week later I had to bow out of running Gasparilla due to needing emergency dental surgery. I was cleared for physical activities a few days before Promise Run and so I wasn’t planning on breaking any records (though I did beat last years time if my records are to be believed so there is that) {I did manage to do a 3.5 mile outdoor walk and a 3.1 mile slow treadmill run prior} I had strongly debated on wearing the free race shirt for the first time in a long time to an event as it was a bright green and reminded me of all the Jeff Gallaway tributes that had happened the week prior to Princess Weekend. While it would have went great with my Tiana Crowned hat and bow I instead opted to just LET IT GO… wearing my Elsa-ified Fila tank from 2019’s Wine and Dine and one of my black mystique sewn skorts.
