My Magical Miles

After another RunDisney registration shut out (marathon weekend) and more dental work (a deep cleaning on March 10th & 11th and a filling appointment the day before the second race I’ll be recapping) I’m here to recap the most recent two events I participated in Keel Farms Spiked Apple 5k I feel this one is more a series that tours much like with hot chocolate as I was just getting targeted ads for this race with various locations listed… Anyway pick up was the day before at the winery and I got a tee shirt and pre purchased headband The race had three waves…830, 10, and 1130 with my wave at 830. At 730 I arrived and walked towards the start area than walked back to the car to get my ID and Debit card before heading back to the start a second time  around 752 Weather was 48 feels like 51 so I opted for sleeves in my Champion!Rapunzel top, pink blogatis skirt and golden dreamer hat and starlake queen headband from crowned At the start area were some critters in the form of goats...

  This year has been a rough one so far for my fitness journey. For the first time we were shut out of registering for Wine and Dine killing our perfect 10K streak and than a week later I had to bow out of running Gasparilla due to needing emergency dental surgery. I was cleared for physical activities a few days before Promise Run and so I wasn’t planning on breaking any records (though I did beat last years time if my records are to be believed so there is that) {I did manage to do a 3.5 mile outdoor walk and a 3.1 mile slow treadmill run prior} I had strongly debated on wearing the free race shirt for the first time in a long time to an event as it was a bright green and reminded me of all the Jeff Gallaway tributes that had happened the week prior to Princess Weekend. While it would have went great with my Tiana Crowned hat and bow I instead opted to just LET IT GO… wearing my Elsa-ified Fila tank from 2019’s Wine and Dine and one of my black mystique sewn skorts.
