Promise Run 2026

  This year has been a rough one so far for my fitness journey. For the first time we were shut out of registering for Wine and Dine killing our perfect 10K streak and than a week later I had to bow out of running Gasparilla due to needing emergency dental surgery. I was cleared for physical activities a few days before Promise Run and so I wasn’t planning on breaking any records (though I did beat last years time if my records are to be believed so there is that) {I did manage to do a 3.5 mile outdoor walk and a 3.1 mile slow treadmill run prior} I had strongly debated on wearing the free race shirt for the first time in a long time to an event as it was a bright green and reminded me of all the Jeff Gallaway tributes that had happened the week prior to Princess Weekend. While it would have went great with my Tiana Crowned hat and bow I instead opted to just LET IT GO… wearing my Elsa-ified Fila tank from 2019’s Wine and Dine and one of my black mystique sewn skorts. Hot Chocolate 2025

I’m wrapping up my year with my fourth annual Hot Chocolate 10k Once again bib pick up was at the fairgrounds and while it was in a slightly bigger area it wasn’t as entertaining (I’m looking at you neighboring cattle show from 2024) There wasn’t that much in terms of giveaways at least not that I took.  I grabbed my bib, hoodie, & promotional tee shirt as well as a chocolate covered marshmallow and a sample of polar cider as well as a few chocolate pieces There was other merchandise I waffled on getting at the expo and than waffled on getting again at the stage area My OOTD was my 2025 Wine & Dine shirt because while Olaf was enjoying time “in summer” snowman are seasonal …I paired it with my red BLogilates skort and crowned crimson witch accessories  As you can see I was in coral L this year (10k/15k corals were I-M) We parked at 7 AM and arrived at the convention center around 7:11 AM and it was then I realized I should have looked at the course map. Some miles are worth melting for Wine and Dine 2025

It’s time again for another RunDisney rundown… We got a super early VQ (number 21) and we’re called right at 10am when the expo opened. While we made good time to arrive at the event by 10:55 the walk to the arena was a slog however we were able to tap in at 11:05 no problem  They brought everyone into the holding room which was confusing as one side of the room had signs saying trying on shoes and one side said buying shoes. The people entering before me asked if they had to wait even if they were just wanting to browse pins and when they were told yes I followed suit. It was only an 8 min wait and we entered the shopping area where we got our usual items. While I was bummed they didn’t do bracelets again I did splurge and get the compression socks. When we exited there was a long line wrapped around to get into the field house which took about 25 mins.  The characters were Mushu & Olaf and since neither were new to us we decided to just get our bibs and go.
