Still Sweaty for Scholarships... Watermelon Race 2... 2022
It’s July which means things are heating up. It also means it is time for round two of the Summer Sunrise Watermelon Series!!! With working a more reasonable 26 hour work week and the weather being a cool 79 feels like 85 with no storm threats my goal was to finish somewhere in the ballpark of my 42:46 PR and the 53:00 of June. My OOTD was a lite pink tank top from Macy’s as well as a blue Livi skort and watermelon bondi band I was dropped off pretty much around the same time as June (640am) and like June it was a 10 min walk to get to the starting group nine sign. While I didn’t see my favorite octogenarian in the coral or at all today I did notice a few people with event staff vests walking the corals. At first I thought it was making sure runners were in their assigned or higher groups or even checking security due to some real world events, however they were just taking photos of groups waiting on the start.
