Splash and Dash…. Mayfaire 2023:
I’m back at it again with one of my staple events Mayfaire. I’ve had high highs and low lows with this race and going in between the weather and a blister on one of my toes I just wanted to finish in less than an hour for my sanity. There is no fancy expo with locals and I was close to wearing the official race shirt pictured above to the point I already took a flat lay however the skort I was going to wear with it needed some TLC so instead I wore my leopard print livi tank, magenta fila skort and teal bondi. It was a cooler year than in the past with it being 79 feels like 82 but also it was raining with storms predicted. I strategically used the restroom before leaving the house so that we could park closer to the start than the public restrooms so that when I arrived at 6:34 ish I could spend 10 mins just sitting in the car refreshing the runners club’s Facebook page for non existent weather alerts.
