Six Magical Miles: A Run Disney Recap

So I've been lax in posting a training update for Wine and Dine with good reason...I've been real lax in training due to work and other stresses.

Leading up to the race not counting the couple days I skipped I did 7 treadmill runs..five of them were 15 minute miles while the other two were slightly over. Of the five non treadmill runs I did my best mileage average was 16 mins 53 secs on October 10th while my best individual mile was 15 mins 19 secs also on that day

So with that said I was freaking out just thinking about the 10K even more so when arriving to the expo and seeing that I was indeed in the last coral making me wonder if they took the time I originally projected instead of the one I did post-mayfair.

We ended up near the front of the coral and with Jess stopping to meet Flick and Atta, both of us stopping to pose with stilt walkers and a few photos around an empty World Showcase and at the mile markers we were actually TWO minutes AHEAD of the pacers by mile 5. UNOFFICIALLY we finished in 1 hour 44 mins and 2 seconds with a 16 mins and 8 second average and best split of 14 mins 20 seconds. UNOFFICIALLY however I ran 1 hour 43 mins and 53 seconds with my first 5K clocking in at 48:01.

It was a great time and I think we may need to do this one again.
