My Magical Miles

  : Time for the second race in the Summer Sunrise Watermelon Series and to see if I have what it takes to beat the heat and my June time. At I got to the starting area once again about a half hour for the start it was slightly darker and felt less crowded but as time progressed it became on par with June. It was actually COOLER then last month with the temperature being a cool 75 degrees as opposed to 77 though it was still 89% humidity and a heat advisory. Time Goal Wise I wanted to BEAT THE HEAT AND LAST MONTH'S RACE....which was an official time of  47:25 ....my pace on FITBIT was a  14:49 m/m  and so I kept that in the back of my head as I ran. My OOTD was my Blue Fila Skort and my 2019 MayFair Tank with another Bondi Band I picked up at Gaspirilla this time my red bandanna one as well as the same old shoes as I've yet to rotate This go around I didn't have someone I had my eye on to pace back and forth however that didn't bother me a bit.   When I did my write up for the June Watermelon race I hinted that I'd do a brief write up of my virtual shorts as a forward to my next Watermelon report but then I figured why shouldn't I make a full post.... So when I first heard the theme of the fourth annual Disney Virtual Shorts was Marvel I was interested in running especially due to lack of Marvel in the East Coast parks and when I saw the medals I was sold... my first instinct was to either sign up for June OR August however with a bit of arm twisting I signed up for the full series...was it a chunk of change to essentially buy medals...yes however it was also another intensive to run outside this summer (sure technically you CAN run via treadmill but I set my own goals) That said at first my plans were to run the series with my sister who also signed up preferably at one of the Disney Hotel jogging trails however due to scheduling conflicts for June that wasn't meant to be and so I just ran around the block on my ...
