Say Goodbye To The Pain of the Past (2020 running round-up and a look to the future)

So here is a run down of all the (Virtual) Fun I've had for the remainder of October as well as November and December as well as a look to Beyond.
Womans Virtual 10K:

October 17th
Time was 1:48:17
I got some nice swag with this one with a shirt, tote bag, and a bondi band as well as a physical bib with my medal…. I’m highly considering signing up for the spring event even though this is one your mostly making a donation and not having to be accountable for your run it was for a good cause and it will keep myself motivated as I train for Gaspirilla
Rock and Roll Clearwater 5K:
when the live race (October 24th) got scraped in August you had the option to convert to virtual or defer to a future event since I didn't know then what the world would be like in a year and the cost to travel cross country even if the virus was at bay was a bit much for JUST a 5K transferring to virtual was a no brainer…
I ran the 5K with a 55:02 time however when I went to submit it said I had to run the half for the challenge… IDK if I clicked something wrong but I ended up running the 5K again with a time of 54:19 in the dark after a 7 hour shift the following day (you could submit time any time between the 23rd and 25th) this time it prompted me to pre-order my swag bag… um I already paid for an actual race and not the free runners club event… I was told I was fine and swag would ship the first week of December… December 30th I sent a second email and was told there were shipping delays and I finally received these two medals on Jan 16th (as well as a tech shirt and mask...I think I printed a virtual bib for my collection I don’t even know honestly)
Unfortunately I don't have pictures of this medal on my Camera Roll at this time
OCTOBER MARATHON A MONTH CHALLENGE 7:02:15
Wine and Dine:
The 5K was scheduled for November 6th However I ran it November 7th at on the Hourglass Lake Jogging Trail at Pop Century/Art of Animation Resort

Not that the 5K is technically timed but I ran it in 51:15 and I re-wore my Belle Costume from 2018's event for the occasion

The 10K was set to be run on November 7th However we ran it on Halloween...because what better day to run around the neighborhood in a costume....
When I heard the race was going to be a Villain Theme I purchased a Queen of Hearts Dress at the Disney Outlet and paired it with a pair of Old Navy Leggings and Kohls Tank underneath

My time was 1:50:16

I’m glad I sized up on shirts after last year as the XXL fit perfect for both race shirts… I even bought some gogo squeezes to have after the run to feel like we were there…
Since it was the 5th Anniversary I HAD to do a shot when we brought our medals to the park in early January for what would of been marathon weekend (I got a refund for that 10K but we enjoyed the parks none the less)...not quite Food and Wine Festival but a decent compromise

NOVEMBER MARATHON A MONTH CHALLENGE 8:01:00
DECEMBER MARATHON A MONTH CHALLENGE 7:39:19
I plan on continuing this personal challenge to run 26.2 miles minimum at least until April 2021 making it a full calendar year of this
Speaking of mile challenges you'll notice at the start of this blog my Run The Year medal only said 1,500 on it this is because I failed to move 2020 in 2020 due to the Pandemic and other personal struggles my final Tally was 503.95 Running Miles and 1,438.54 Daily miles for a total of 1,942.49 Overall Miles moved in the year
My Race Tally For the year:
1 LIVE 1 Miler (PR)
1 LIVE 3K (PR)
3 LIVE 5Ks
6 VIRTUAL 5Ks
1 LIVE 8K
3 VIRTUAL 10Ks
1 LIVE 15K
1 VIRTUAL MARATHON (in increments) (PR)--note Marathon a Month Times don't count to official PRs
Also various challenges like Uncancelled Challenge, Miles For Scholarships and the various Streaks on Run The Edge not to mention my above noted Marathon a Month Goal
UPCOMING RACES:
Like I said above I MAY do the Virtual Womans 10K again for the Spring Run in April and there is a St. Patrick's Day Virtual in March for St. Judes I'm pondering as well
Aside from this I'm doing the 15K/8K Challenge for Gaspirilla (as of now the race still has a Live option however it's been moved to May which unfortunately is the same weekend as Mayfair)
In the Summer I'll be doing Watermelon or whatever they do as an alternitive
In November I'll do Wine and Dine if it happens and I can get in if not I'll will probibly do the Lake to Lake 10K which historically is the same weekend
Beyond that... I'm still hoping Gaspirilla or Rock and Roll Clearwater 2022 will be my first actual Half so Fingers crossed
