Going The Distance Three Weekends In A Row: (Bonnet Springs/Springtime Surprise/Seven Seas Food Fest part 2)

 Now it's time to Go The distance!!!

We left the room at 2:05 and got to the bus at 2:21. At 2:29 we loaded and 2:33 it pulled out. It was a DCL bus so we were spoiled with Mickey cartoons.

My Ootd was my pink skort and bondi band as well as a custom blue reel legends reel tech shirt with custom lettering.

Weather was 69 feels like 68.  With 93% humidity

We arrived at 2:43 and used a real restroom before heading to security. It opened at 2:55 and we were than held by the leave a legacy wall till 3.

Characters out were Hercules (7 mins) Groot (3 mins) Doctor Strange (8 mins) Mr. Incredible (9 mins) plus the Baymax Baloon

 

I did a quick port o let and water trip before getting to the coral at 3:57

And I was off with the first mile bringing up Mirabel and Megara meets

We hit the first marker in 17 mins

We waited about 5 mins for Merida and 9 for Esmeralda and Clopin (well Jess waited in the line while I joined her three people from the front after using an on course port-o-let)

 

There was the first water stop and pain and panic before reaching mile 2

We reached marker two in 48 mins 34 moving

There was a band and we got the push notification that the balloon ladies started 

There was a muppet screen playing in the parking lot while two DJs and Robin Hood were backstage.

We reached mile marker three in 1:06:00 or 52 mins moving.

Two mins later hit the 5K point

Hades was at world showplace and the line attendant said it was a 35 min wait. Anxiety brain got the better of me thinking about having to make speed up on the boardwalk and the fomo of missing out on darkwing duck if out.

I left Hades after 6 mins and shortly afterwards got notified that there wasn't darkwing or anyone else worth my while so i decided to wait it out for 14 mins in Mickey and  Minnie’s so she could catch up.

There was a DJ, second water stop and second muppet screen as well as marker four  which I got to in 1:30:00 or 1:10:00 moving

Balloons were at 5k as I handed my phone to the attendant.

I skipped on Stitch also on the boardwalk and the army men in America all by mile marker five which I hit in 2:03:00 or 1:29:00 moving 

There was a group of ‘muses’ in Germany and the choir backstage before getting to marker six in

2:21:00 or 1:47:00 moving

Taking a selfie with Carissa and waving to Donald on the scaffolding I finished in

2:25:25 or 1:51:25 moving

Balloons finished roughly 10 mins after us

Last and certainly not least was the second annual seven seas food festival 5k

My ootd was a pink tec gear tank my blue logilatis skort and my pink bondi and scrunchie giving off a bright sunny sesame muppet vibe 

 

I made it a bit too close for comfort getting there at 640 when the gates closed at 645.

Staging was set up differently…seeding was still self serve however you had to go through security and push through the shoot. I managed to get between the 8/9 and 10/12 sign which is where I “self seed” for Disney and where I started last year.

I was able to do a quick weather check and it was 59 feels like 58 with an 81% humidity….that ten degrees made all the difference in the world honestly.

I started at 7:00 am and three minutes later we were already on stage vs last year when we didn’t hit the park till almost mile two.

We cut through an empty amphitheater as well as passed by a few stilt walkers in various areas.

My garmin buzzed mile one and a minute later I hit it at 15 mins

There was an acrobatic streetmosphere performer and that tunnel from last years before heading into sesame 

I waited for Oscar, cookie, Abby,Grover, Elmo, Telly and Prairie Dawn it was roughly a 5 minute interlude in all

Big bird was also out but was on a break and from Instagram it looked like other friends were swapping out as well (I didn’t see count on those posts though if he were meeting I think I would actually cry)

After the land was a water stops and a musician before meeting one of Shamu’s shark friends (1 min rounded up)

There was more Streetmosphere entertainment in the form of a mime as well as a selfie backdrop before my garmin buzzed mile two and I physically reached it in 40 mins 34 mins moving 

There was some team members with misters before the cutest character stop with a real sea lion followed by one of shamu’s sea lion friends. Both stops were so short to time I’ll say they lasted no more than a minute cumulative 

There were bubbles before my garmin buzzed mile three before reaching it in 58 minutes 51 moving

 

I finished at 59:23 52:23 moving 

After the race there was a really long line for shamu and his penguin friend that I didn’t time as it was in the reunion area

Also instead of getting a ticket to grab a food booth sample in park they had four offerings available to taste post race I ended up grabbing a piece of Mexican street corn that got better at 8:30 am than I started
